Reviving the Metha nagar blog is one of our main initiative. The community blog was started by me in mid 2009, but due to lack of a team and a legal entity I could not take it ahead. I just dropped it dead. Not a post and not a click, the blog was almost gone.
Then came a time, when a great team got formed. Nesam Makkal Welfare Society was born. Then we planned and took up reviving our community blog as our high priority task. The blog immediately got some hits, some articles, some updates and lot more. Our VP Mr.Balaji is also getting ready to write some beautiful poems in tamil, which will be put up on the blog soon. Apart from this the metha nagar blog will be a one point destination for all information related to our locality. For example if you want to get information about any government offices, you can check the blog, any information about nearest shopping centers come to the blog, any information about temples, mosques or churches come to the blog. Along with Nesam Makkal Welfare Society, (@nesammakkal), the metha nagar locality also has a twitter page now (@methanagar). So getting to know what happens in your area in now very very simple.
So now being up to date with respect to our area has got a lot easier. Well you don't need to thank NMWS for that. Helping the society as a whole is our motto and we are not bothered about the credit that we might get (I think we can say that) :D.
